Max Factor cosmetics

Max Factor is known as a brand used by professional make-up artists. It's roots date back to the nineteenth-century Poland. Born in Łódź Maximilian Faktorovich, founder of one of the largest cosmetic companies, began his career as an assistant pharmacist. He spent a lot of time on experiments in the field of compound perfumes and creams. 1909 is considered the beginning of the well-known brand. It was founded two years after opening the first cosmetic store in Los Angeles chemist and five years after leaving Łódź by Faktorovich. The company did not have to wait long - along with laboratory Max Factor has developed very quickly. Max worked with Hollywood actresses of the 20's and 30's, he was responsible for the among others make-ups of Phyllis Haver, Pola Negri and Joan Crawford. Brilliant make-up that Max Factor had provided to the stars of Hollywood, set the canon of beauty in the twentieth century. His style was copied by women all over the world. Then he took on the English-sounding name Max Factor. His inventions are associated with this brand. He created fake eyelashes, waterproof cosmetics and the first liquid foundation (now nobody can imagine their vanity case without it). He created a lot of interesting techniques useful in the art of characterization. He was also the creator of timeless term 'make-up'. At the end of 20's Max was awarded with the first ever Oscar for film make-up. Initially, the idea was the work of individual, professional make-up artists, but in 1927 the distribution of women cosmetics bearing the signature logo Max Factor began. Then he started the production of articles for men. The company Max Factor was owned by the descendants of Max Faktorovich until 1973 . Today it is one of the many brands of Procter & Gamble Co. MF products were available around the world by 2009, when they were withdrawn from distribution in the United States. Max Factor cosmetics still remain very popular in European countries, including Poland. Max Factor is a symbol of modern makeup and beauty.
