Carmex cosmetics

Carmex - the history of the brand goes back to the early 1930s. It was founded in the USA by Alfred Woelbing, who suffered from cracked and dry lips. For this reason, he created (in the kitchen of his own home in Michigan) a special lip balm recipe. He poured it into small glass jars and sold to the pharmacists. Alfred brought his products in person by car. In this way, Carmex Balsam has become an international and valued brand. The production was moved from Woelbing's house to a facility in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where it remained until the 1975 transition to its Franklin in Wisconsin. The company is still run by the Woelbing family. The unique recipe, originally created, remains unchanged until today. Every minute the company sells around 130 Carmex lotions. At present, 8 million pieces of lotion jars are produced in 2000 hours, which is about 4000 units per hour. Carmex introduced several fruit flavors and version for women Moisture Plus Ultra in a lip-like package.
